Meet Dr. Kim
Since opening his practice in 1986, Dr. Michael Kim’s goal has been to provide optimum and appropriate care for his patients in a kind, caring and comfortable environment. Dr. Kim values the personal relationships and trust he has developed with his patients.
Dr. Kim offers general dental services for patients of all ages. Cosmetic services are also emphasized, restoring teeth a healthy state where they look and feel natural. Maintaining optimum health through prevention and routine care is also important.
Dr. Kim was born and raised in Mequon WI. He went to grade school at St. James (now Lumen Christi). He graduated from Marquette University High School in 1978. He went on to do his under graduate schooling at Marquette Univ. Dr. Kim has always been interested in the health field and through his undergraduate studies, felt that dentistry would be a good career path to follow. He graduated from Marquette University in 1982 and continued his post graduate education at Marquette University School of Dentistry.
Upon graduating dental school in 1986, he opened a dental practice in Fox Point, WI. He out grew that office and in 1999 relocated his growing practice to a new state-of-the-art office in his home town of Mequon.
Dr. Kim finds continuing education important for continued clinical excellence to meet the needs of his patients.
Dr. Kim is involved with the community as a member of the Mequon-Thiensville Sunrise Rotary Club. Rotary supports community involvement and various charitable organizations. Dr. Kim also participates, with the Crown Council, in the yearly Smile's For Life fund raiser which raises money for children’s charities by donating the proceeds of tooth whitening services. The Smiles For Life foundation has raised over $25,000,000.00 since its inception 9 years ago. Dr. Kim is proud that his office has raised nearly $50,000.00 during that time. In addition to Rotary, Dr. Kim also belongs to the Crown Council, The American Dental Association, the Wisconsin Dental Association, Ozaukee Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society and participates in a study group with dentists throughout North America.
Dr Kim lives in Mequon with his wife Beata and their four children, Theresa, Alec, Jacob, and Michael.
